Sara M. "Sally" (Bremerkamp) Chambers peacefully passed away Monday morning, September 16, 2013, and is now in the loving hands of God. Sally was born September 11, 1927 in Fremont, Ohio, as the only child to parents Vada Mae (Henderson) Bremerkamp and John Herbert Bremerkamp. She graduated from Stephen"s Women"s College in Columbia, MO. As a "Stephen"s Susie", she complemented her sense of style, sophistication and poise. These traits were evident in her character and interactions with all. In 1955, Sally met Robert James (Jim) Chambers at a dance hall and soon learned they were compatible on and off the dance floor. They were married in 1957, starting their family in 1959. Together they raised four daughters, Julianne, Jennifer, Jacqueline and Jaunita (the 4 Js) and kept the romance alive until Jim"s passing in 2001. Sally loved to bowl, garden, sew and entertain. Sally and Jim"s New Year"s Day Open House was an annual event, continuing for over 45 years ending with her 2013 Christmas in July party. Sally was an excellent role model. She was compassionate and caring with her family and all those around her. She was a devoted daughter, wife and mother. She led by example, empowering her girls to be strong and independent " to believe anything was possible. She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband Jim. Survivors include daughters, Julie Chambers Loveless, Jenny Sharp (Doug), Jay Behnke (Ed) and Nita Chambers. Grandchildren include Jessica Loveless, Brandon Loveless (Holly and Kaden), Ralph Behnke, Blake Sharp and Jared Sharp. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Wea, KS and/or share an act of kindness to another.
