Sandra L. Edmonds

Sandra L. Edmonds, 76, of Ottawa, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2018, at the Olathe Hospice House. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, July 27, 2018, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 401 W. 13th, Ottawa. Family will meet with friends from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Thursday, July 26, 2018, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Inurnment Highland Cemetery, Ottawa. Sandi was born December 26, 1941, in Ottawa, the daughter of Randolph and Eleanor (Michael) Bundy. She was a lifelong Ottawa resident. She graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1960 and attended nursing school. Sandi was married to Burt Brewer in 1961, in Ottawa, and they later divorced. Sandi was united in marriage to Melvin “Mel” Edmonds, Jr. April 21, 1992, in Ottawa. He preceded her in death on September 3, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Marilyn Gangwish. Survivors include her four sons, Jeff Brewer and wife Christina, Randy Brewer and wife Valerie, Kevin Brewer and wife Debbie, and Chris Brewer and wife Cyndi, all of Ottawa; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Sandi was a devoted homemaker and worked as a paraprofessional at West Franklin USD 287 in the 2000’s. She was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church. Sandi loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. She spent countless hours getting the boys to swim practice and meets, baseball games and tournaments, triathlons, and other sporting events and activities. Her hobbies included pottery, cooking, gardening and flowers. The family suggests memorial contributions to Westminster Presbyterian Church c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S.
