Sam graduated from Tennessee Preparatory School in Nashville, TN, and then served his country in the United States Army, where he was stationed in Europe. Sam spent his time in the construction industry and ended up retiring from Straub Construction Company. He always enjoyed fishing, boating and camping with his boys. We both enjoyed many memorable trips to Mexico and trips to San Diego to visit our close friends. Shortly after building our home in Louisburg, we became "Parents" again to our two Grandchildren. Sam enjoyed working in our yard, and we both have green thumbs when it comes to all of our flowers. Lately he took up a new hobby of reading. I enjoyed watching him relax with a good book. One of Sam"s happiest times was spending time with our two labs, Lily and Zeva. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Joanie L. Hinds, of the home; his children, Heather Byrd, Mexico, MO; Paul Hinds, Gladstone, MO; Sam P.
