Ryleigh Hope Kobel

Ryleigh Hope Kobel, 10, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2022, at Children’s Mercy Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa. Family will meet with friends immediately following the service. Ryleigh was born July 23, 2011, at Birmingham, Alabama, the daughter of David Kobel and April Turner. She was a lifelong Ottawa and Princeton, Kansas resident. During the wonderful time she spent with us, she touched our lives with her infectious smile and her loving and caring personality. Ryleigh was a 5th grader at Garfield Elementary School, Ottawa. She enjoyed singing and dancing, reading and math, coming up with solutions to problems, and fishing. She loved being with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother Diana Elder Casida and uncle Shane Kobel. She will be forever cherished in the hearts of those who survive her including her mother, April Turner of Princeton, and father, David Kobel of Ottawa; four siblings, Shaun Ritter, Kelsey Rietz, Adriana Casida, and Lindsey Coonce; maternal grandparents, John and Cecilia Turner of Ottawa; and paternal grandparents, Richard Kobel of Ottawa, and Ruby Kobel of Camdenton, Missouri.
