Ryan Patrick Mckinney

Ryan Patrick McKinney, age 31, met his Lord unexpectedly on August 1 ,2023 at his home in Spring Hill, Kansas

Ryan was born on July 3, 1992 in Overland Park, Kansas to Kelly and Stacy McKinney. His home was Paola, Kansas. He attended Holy Trinity Catholic School through 8th grade and graduated from Paola High School in 2011. Ryan was active in Boy Scouts of America, played youth sports, with an interest in baseball. He competed on the Paola High School Swim team.

He loved reading, history and music. He had a great smile and laugh. Ryan shared adventures and exploring new places with his parents and grandparents.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kelly McKinney, Paola KS. Grandparents: Lester McKinney, Huron, SD, Maynard “Corky” Westphal, Sioux Falls, SD and Douglas “Pat” & Jackie Wray, Yankton, SD.

Ryan is survived by his mother, Stacy (Wray) McKinney of Paola, KS and grandmother, Margaret Westphal of Sioux Falls, SD. Other survivors include his uncles: Les McKinney (Katie), Sioux Falls, SD, Jeff McKinney

(Vonnie), Sioux Falls, SD, Jeff Wray (Char), Madison, SD, Mike Wray (Nancy), Maple Grove, MN, many cousins, family, and friends.

A private prayer vigil and graveside service to remember and bless Ryan’s life will be held August 10, 2023 at 10 am, Dengel & Son Mortuary, Paola, KS.
