Mrs. Ruth Nadine Pevler, age 93, passed away Saturday Morning, July 27, 2013 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, Georgia. Ruth Nadine Brady was born July 19, 1920 in Rantoul, Kansas, the daughter of Stama Lafayette Brady and Sylvia Myrtle (Townsend) Brady. She was a 1938 graduate of Paola High School, Paola, Kansas, where she earned the title of "Speed Demon" due to her exceptional speed typing skills. She worked as a secretary in the Independence, Missouri area for over forty years before her retirement. She was an avid bowler for most of her life, and participated in tournaments throughout the United States. She enjoyed traveling, crocheting, and reading. She married Lloyd Willis Pevler on February 29, 1940. They lived most of their married life in Independence, Missouri, and celebrated their 56th Wedding anniversary in February of 1996. He preceded her in death May 27, 1996. Survivors include one daughter Thelma J. (Bill) Little of Yuma, AZ., one son Larry R. (Marie) Pevler of Buford, GA., one brother Harold Brady of Paola, Ks, One sister Mildred (Walter) Dysart of Garnett, KS. Two Granddaughters, Tammy (Mike)Collins of Americus, GA, and Lorri (John)Buescher of Knoxville, TN. Two step grandsons, Sidney (Cindy) Theus of Duluth, GA, Christopher (Shannon) Theus of Gainesville, GA, and one step granddaughter Dawn (Barry) Peeples of Dacula, GA., four great grandchildren, Clint & Haley Collins and Justin & Tyler Buescher, several step great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
