Ruth Lockman Jester

Ruth Olivia Lockman Jester 1928-2007 Ruth Olivia Lockman Jester, 79, of Louisburg, Kansas went to be with the Lord on December 5, 2007 She was born May 24, 1928 in Gordon, Wisconsin. Her parents were Raye and Olivia Lockman and she had three older brothers, all of whom have preceded her in death. Ruth worked for a short time in Minneapolis, MN and then in Colorado Springs, CO. That is where she met her future husband, Robert E. Jester. Robert (Bob) was in the Army and stationed at Fort Carson in Colorado Springs. They were married in Kansas City, KS on December 23, 1956. In 1970 they moved to Louisburg. They had two children, Kathleen Ruth and Michael Robert. Ruth was a charter member of the Legion Auxiliary Post in Gordon, WI. She enjoyed singing in the church choirs over the years. Prior to her decline in health she was involved in prison ministry, volunteer work with Salvation Army and the local nursing home. Ruth was also a Gideon auxiliary member. Ruth leaves behind her husband of fifty years, Bob Jester of Louisburg, one daughter Kathleen Ruth (Jester) Armstrong of Louisburg and one son, Michael Robert Fester of Merriam, KS. Ruth also leaves behind her grandson, Jeremy Lee Armstrong and her granddaughter, Kristin Rae Armstrong, both of Louisburg.
