Ruby-Ann Rose Milliken, 16, of Waverly, Kansas died Sunday, November 3, 2013. A Funeral Mass will be held at Waverly High School Gymnasium, Waverly, Kansas, 10:00 A.M. Friday, November 8, 2013. A Rosary will be said at the gymnasium at 6:30 P.M. Thursday, November 7, 2013, followed by a family and friends visitation at 7:00 P.M. Interment St. Boniface Cemetery, Scipio, Kansas. Ruby-Ann was born on Saturday, September 27, 1997 in Ottawa, Kansas, the daughter of Steve and Karen Milliken. She made her home in Waverly, Kansas and was a sophomore at Waverly High School. Ruby-Ann was involved in many clubs and organizations including; Future Business Leaders of America, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Student Council, SAFE Committee (Seat belts Are For Everyone), co-captain of the sub- state championship team in volleyball, also participating in basketball and track, Scholars Bowl, Homecoming attendant, lifetime NRA member, and a member of the Waverly Social Club 2nd Generation. She was on the high honor roll and received a Presidential Honor Certificate and was a Community Service Award recipient. She was a part time employee of Milliken Enterprises, Inc. She was a future Kansas University Jayhawk, and the proud owner of “The Egg Corpa”. She was an avid member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church where she was recently confirmed. Ruby-Ann lived a life of faith every day, was a member of the Carmelite Star and was scheduled to attend the National Catholic Youth Conference. Survivors include her parents; sister, Jordan Duling and husband Shane of Pittsburg, Kansas; maternal grandmother, Judy Wall of Princeton, Kansas; paternal grandparents, Larry and Sandy Milliken of Williamsburg, Kansas; paternal great grandmother, Reta Milliken of Williamsburg; paternal great grandfather, Cloyce Thornbrugh of Ottawa; uncle Keith Milliken and aunt Jenny of Williamsburg; uncle, Kurt Wall of Princeton; cousins, Aly and Riley Milliken of Williamsburg. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Jim Wall; maternal great grandmother, Jeraldene Wall; maternal great grandmother, Anna Marie Gretencord; paternal great grandfather, Orlin Milliken; paternal great grandmother, Ruby Mae Milliken; and paternal great grandmother, June Thornbrugh. She was a loving daughter, sister and friend whose ultimate gift was of herself through tissue and organ donations.
