Ruby L. Campbell, 80, Ottawa, Kansas, passed away Friday, June 8, 2007, at home. Ruby Louise Robison was born in Oswego, Kansas, on July 13, 1926 to John Henderson Robison and Anna Lois Livesay Robison. She was third of seven children and following high school in Oswego, attended Ottawa University. While living in Ottawa, she worked at the Ottawa Sign Company, where she met Gardner Campbell and on Sept. 21, 1946, they were married in Oswego. Ruby worked part-time for Irwin's Gifts in the 1960s before going to work full-time for Buildex until her retirement. They attended the First Baptist Church of Ottawa for 50 years. In Port Aransas, Texas, where they wintered for 25 years, the attended Community Presbyterian Church. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Gardner, on March 3, 2006. She is survived by their daughters, Celeste of Ottawa, and Cheryl and her husband, Jim Stegall, Port Aransas, Texas, and Alexandria, Virginia; grandsons Chris Stegall (Cathy) and Brandon Stegall (Susan), of Kansas City, Missouri, and 10 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, including Tom Sink (Deborah) and Debbie Phillips (Bob), of Ottawa. Ruby is survived by brother Rev. Roscoe and Nina Robison, Worcester, Massachusetts; sister-in-law Billie George Robison, Parsons, Kansas; brother Wilford and Marilyn Robison, Overland Park, Kansas; sister-in-law Earlene Robison, Edmond, Oklahoma; brother John and Sally Robison, Oswego, Kansas; and sister Roberta and Clifford Vance, Oswego. She was preceded in death by brothers Roland and Ray and nephew Gary Robison. A memorial service will be held from the First Baptist Church of Ottawa, 11:00AM, Saturday, June 23, 2007. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made by memorial donations to the First Baptist Church, P.O.
