Roy Robinson

Roy Robinson, age 90, of Paola, Kansas passed away March 18, 2019 at Olathe Medical Center. Roy was born July 6, 1928 to Duett and Nettie Erbentraut Robinson in Capron, Illinois. He graduated from Capron High School. He married Shirley Wares in 1948 in Poplar Grove, Illinois and they had three children, Sherry Rae, Randall Roy, and Sandra Jean. They moved to Sheldon, Missouri in 1969 where he was employed at Allis Chalmers Company from 1963-1975 and received several top sales awards. He worked at various farm machine companies until 1996 then worked at Ambraco until 2014. During this time Roy also raised cattle and judged tractor pulls locally and for Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma state fairs. Roy raised yellow labs and donated 11 to the school for the blind. He received the outstanding farmer award from Illinois State in 1961. Roy is survived by his son, Randall Roy Robinson (Romy) of Paola, KS; daughters, Sherry Rae Stromp (Peter) of Chandler, AZ and Sandra Jean Moll (Dave) of Paola, KS; grandchildren, Megan Clark (Tony), Hannah McFarland, Reed McFarland (Kourtney Huffman), Alexis Bryan, Kaylee Bryan (John Branum), Jacob, Marcus and Matthew Robinson and David Moll, Jr.(Sami); great grandchildren, Lilli, Haiden, Wade and Regan Moll, Roycin and Sloane McFarland, Beckett Clark, and Myla Branum. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley; parents; brothers, Don, George, Fay, Burt, and Wayne and sisters, Etta and Virginia. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
