Roy H. Bickerstaff

Roy H. Bickerstaff, age 74, of Ottawa, Kansas, died Friday, June 1, 2012, in Ottawa, Kansas. He was born on Tuesday, May 24, 1938, in Imes, Kansas, the son of Edgar Earl and Katie (Bible) Bickerstaff. He was a lifelong Franklin County, Ottawa area resident. Roy was employed by Ottawa Truck for 37 years starting in the mid 1960”s until 1980. From the mid 1980’s until his retirement in 2001, at Ottawa Truck, he started in Assembly moved to Leadman and later was a Foreman. Roy also worked at Dan Arnold’s Radiator Repair, Ottawa, in the mid 1980’s. Roy was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Ottawa. On February 14, 1967 Roy was united in marriage with Jeanne Harlan in Bristow, Oklahoma. She survives of their home. He is survived by his: Wife - Jeanne Bickerstaff of Ottawa, Kansas Daughter - Becki Bickerstaff of Kansas City, Kansas Daughter - Rita Kay Bickerstaff and her fiancé Brian Zabokrtzky of Topeka, Kansas Daughter - Dana Lynn Leedy of Yates Center, Kansas Sister - Rosa May Stork of Lawrence, Kansas Nieces & Nephews - Many Grandchildren - Four Great-grandchildren - Three He is preceded in death by his: Parents – Earl & Katie Bickerstaff Sister – Dell Brockus Sister – Lillie Stevens Brother – Bill Bickerstaff Brother – Leonard Bickerstaff, Sr. Brother – Larry Bickerstaff, Sr. SERVICES: Family and friends will meet at Ruhamah Cemetery, Rantoul, Kansas for graveside service at 4:00 PM, Thursday, June 7, 2012.
