Roxanna Lea Turley age 48, died unexpectedly on Jan. 29th 2010 "Roxie" as her friends and loved ones knew her was born on Dec. 2, 1961 in Topeka, KS. She made her home in Paola, Kansas where she lived most of her adult years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved playing board games, cards, listening to music, and reading. Earlier in her life, she developed an interest in crocheting and her talent with it was dispersed as welcoming gifts to her own babies, her niece, and her nephews as they each were born. She made lovely doilies as well. All these treasures we will remember her for. Roxie leaves behind her long time companion Leroy Prihoda. Roxie and Leroy had recently made their home in Frontenac, Kansas after many years living in Paola. Roxie and Leroy were inseparable, where you saw one, you saw the other. They complimented each other in every aspect of life. Roxie also leaves her three children, Michael Turley of Frontenac, son Charles Kirkland, of Garnett, and daughter Chrystal Kirkland of Garnett, and her mother Juanita Turley of Paola, Kansas, her two sisters Karen Feuerborn of Paola and Donna Elsbury of Paola, as well as her other remaining family and her church family who eill miss her dearly. Roxie became a member of Paola Christian Church on September 21 2008. She was actively attending there until her recent move to Frontenac.
