Mrs. Baucom was born May 11, 1930 in Fort Scott, Kansas to Willis and Ettie Sexton. She was the youngest of 4 children, Willis Sexton, Gordon Warner, and Dorothy Daw. She admired and looked up to her older siblings all of her life Rosie worked hard all of her life and could accomplish anything she set her mind to do. She was an excellent cook and seamstress. She was known for her amazing homemade pies and made sure that everyone had their favorite pie at holidays, no matter how many. She loved making clothes for her daughter when she was growing up and also for her granddaughters. She worked for Key Industries and Kresses in Fort Scott and also worked 20 years at the Pleasanton Telephone Company before she was forced to retire when they closed. She and her daughter, Kathy, enjoyed many trips to Nashville, Tennessee and traveling to different cities/states to see their favorite singer, Marty Robbins. She and Willis belonged to Volkmarching groups that met for morning walks along the Pacific Ocean. She and her brother also delivered Meals on Wheels. They enjoyed all of their time spent by the ocean. She worked at Beverly's Fabric in Monterey and always had a sewing or craft project in the works. She even waited on actress Doris Day. Always an avid reader, in her later years she enjoyed the many books and magazines her daughter would bring her from the library. She also looked forward to the nightly phone call from her son, John. Her son in law, Bob, installed all the safety bars, wheelchair ramps, etc. to help her to be able to live at home safely. She is survived by her children, Kenneth Baucom, Fort Scott, Kansas, John R.
