Rosemary Gardner

Rosemary Gardner, age 87, of Paola, KS passed away September 10, 2016 at Olathe Hospice House, Olathe, KS. She was born on April 27, 1929 to Roy J. and Norma Kuheim Watrous in Kansas City, MO. She graduated from Louisburg Rural High School with the class of 1946. Rosemary was united in marriage to James A. Gardner in November of 1947. Together they were parents of three children, Cathy, Jim M. and Karen Jeanne. Rosemary loved to work in the garden, go fishing and dancing. She was a member of the Thimble Club. She greatly loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 60 years, James A. Gardner; one daughter, Karen Jeanne Gardner Clark; and three brothers, Chester, Henry and Roy (Bud) Watrous. Survivors include one daughter, Cathy (Gary) Zumbrunnen; one son, James M. (Janice) Gardner both of Paola, KS; eight grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and one sister, Norma Jeanne Gardner, Ottawa, KS. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Olathe Hospice House, 15310 S. Marion St., Olathe, KS 66061.
