Rosemary Ann Casey, 69, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away peacefully with her family by her side Sunday, December 24, 2017. Memorial services will be held later in Connecticut. Rosemary was born February 7, 1948 in Waterbury, Connecticut, the daughter of Martin and Josephine (Infasia) Crane. She grew up in Waterbury, moving to Wolcott, Connecticut, where she lived 30 years. In 2003, Rosemary moved to Ottawa, where she made her home until her death. She graduated from Kennedy High School in Waterbury. Rosemary was united in marriage to Stephen Casey March 8, 1969 in Waterbury. He survives of the home. Other survivors include her two children, Stephen Allen Casey, Jr. of Waterbury, Connecticut and Brian Lee Casey of Ottawa; sister, Joanne DesJardins of Thomaston, Connecticut; two grandchildren, Cody Lee Casey Terryville, Connecticut and Alyssa Brenner also of Terryville; and nieces and nephews, Tyler Vaz, Nick Vaz, Michael DesJardins, Lori Tiso, Kimberly Porter and Mariah Flinter. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Josephine Crane; and four step-brothers, Frank Porter, Roger Porter, George Porter and Andrew Porter. Rosemary was a devoted wife and homemaker as well as a day care provider and a telephone operator for the Southern New England Telephone Company in Connecticut. Most of Rosemary’s hobbies were enjoyed with her husband which included; motorcycling, ownership of horses, various ATV sports, fishing and taking care of her family.
