Rose Marie (Bones) Mace-Bingham, 85, of Ottawa, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2018. Family will meet with friends from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M., Friday, April 27, 2018, at the First Baptist Church, Ottawa. Memorial services will immediately follow at 2:00 P.M. at the church. Inurnment Princeton Cemetery, Princeton, Kansas. Rose Marie was born Friday, December 16, 1932, in Ottawa, Kansas, the daughter of Glen Harold and Verna (Bair) Bones. She was a near lifelong Franklin County resident. She attended Ottawa High School and pursued a nursing degree from Fort Scott School of Nursing and later Pittsburg State University. Rose Marie was united in marriage to Ora Lee Mace November 11, 1948, at Princeton, Kansas. He preceded her in death on October 24, 1988. Rose Marie married Ray Bingham May 1, 1995, at Mesa, Arizona. He preceded her in death on March 2, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Verna Bones; brothers, Harold Bones and Frederick Bones, sister, Phyllis Hollon, and an infant brother. She is survived by a son, Wade Mace and wife Bea of Ottawa; daughters, Sandra Cooper and husband Jim of Lawrence, and Sharon Johnson and husband John of Williamsburg; eight grandchildren, Gabe Mace and wife Meghan of Ottawa, Errik Johnson and wife Heather of Williamsburg, Stewart Cooper and wife Kim of Lawrence, Fawn Plummer and husband Mario of Lebo, Veronica Cooper of Lawrence, Clint Johnson and wife Jill of Williamsburg, Tanesha Gorsek and husband Tony of Omaha, and Megan Wilson of Stephenville, Texas; thirteen great grandchildren, Zak, Anna, Tucker, Maylee, Cira, Mateo, Rya Rose, Damianne, Marquerite, Patsy, Kenny, Eli and Claire; sister-in-law, Delores Bones-French of Ottawa; and many nieces and nephews. Rose Marie was a devoted homemaker and worked years as an Registered Nurse at Ransom Memorial Hospital in Ottawa. She was a current member of the First Baptist Church in Ottawa, where she was in charge of the birthday card program. She was a former member of Cherry Street Wesleyan Church, also of Ottawa, where she was first commissioned lay leader. She served on Mercy Ships, a volunteer mission corps that assisted poor and marginalized people of need in the Dominican Republic. Rose Marie was a very talented person. She had many interests which included, traveling, sewing, ceramics, knitting, crocheting and cooking.
