Ronald Wayne Flaigle

November 4, 1951 — January 13, 2018

Ronald Wayne Flaigle, 66, of Louisburg, KS, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Olathe Medical Center. The visitation will be held Thursday, January 18, 2018 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Louisburg First Baptist Church 406 S. Vine St. Louisburg, KS. Funeral services will be Friday, January 19th starting with Masonic services at 10:00 a.m. and the celebration of life service to follow at the church. Burial will be in the Bucyrus Cemetery. Ron was born to Harold E. and Dolores Maxine (Saunders) Flaigle on November 4, 1951, he is one of three children. Ron was raised on 86 acres in Bucyrus, KS. He attended Bucyrus Elementary from first to eighth grade. Ron graduated from Louisburg High School in 1969. Shortly after high school, he married the love of his life, Connie Davidson on April 29, 1972. They had two children, Angela D. Davey (Flaigle) and Nathan R. Flaigle. After Ron was married, he started working at Trailer Services from 1972 to 1988. From there, he began his auctioneer career in 1988 and continued to this day. Ron joined Crown Realty on May 31st, 1997 and worked there ever since. He could be found at Paola Livestock just about every Friday since 2003 auctioning off the local’s cattle. During his chant, Ron often thru out the word ‘peanut’ or ‘princess’ to get a rise out of his grandkids who were watching. Ron was a member of the Spring Hill Lodge #56, Scottish Rite of Free Masonry, and Abdallah Shrine. When he was younger, Ron enjoyed playing baseball. In 1971, he tried out for the Royals. Unfortunately, he didn’t get signed to wear the royal blue, but he was able to continue his passion for the sport by playing coed softball with his wife. Connie was always placed in front of him to bat so he could hit her in. One of her favorite memories of them playing was when he would hit a homerun and be hot on her tail saying, “Move it, move it!” Ron was survived by his wife, Connie, children Angela and Brian Davey of Paola and Nathan Flaigle of Gridley. He was the proud grandpa of two grandchildren, Brooklyn and Brock. Ron was also survived by his brother, Harold E. Flaigle Jr. (Theresa) of Wichita, his sister, Yvonne Hartner (Dave) of Topeka, and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Ron was preceded in death by his parents. He will be remembered as an easy-going man with a great smile, giving heart, and a distinct voice that will never be forgotten. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Louisburg High School FFA or the Spring Hill Masonic Lodge #56. C/O Dengel & Son Funeral Home Louisburg Chapel P.O.
