Ronald “Ron” Wallace, age 65 of Ottawa, Kansas, died Wednesday, June 12, 2013 in Kansas City, Missouri. Cremation is planned. A private Memorial Service with be held at a later date. Ron was born on Tuesday, February 3, 1948 in Neosho, Missouri. He was the son of Forrest and Winona Ruth (Avery) Wallace. He has been a resident of Ottawa since 2000, moving from Lane, Kansas where he resided from 1995 to 2000. He also resided in Lenexa, Kansas for twenty-one years. Ron graduated from Neosho High School. He worked as a commercial artist for Gill Studios in Lenexa, Kansas from 1973 to 2008. Ron served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1970, attaining the rank of CW-2. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ottawa. On Saturday, June 22, 1968, Ronald was united in marriage with Shirley Stark Tichenor in Weatherford, TX. She preceded him in death on December 2, 2008. On September 18, 2010, Ronald was united in marriage with Anna Reese in Ottawa, Kansas. She survives of the home. Other survivors include his mother, Ruth Wallace of Neosho, Missouri; and brother, John Wallace of Missouri. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Wallace; and father, Forrest M.
