Ronald (Ron) W. Schmoe

Ronald W. “Ron” Schmoe, 64, of Ottawa, passed away Friday, November 22, 2019, at Rock Creek of Ottawa. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, November 30, 2019, at Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, Kansas. Family will meet with friends from 12:30 P.M. to 1:30 P.M., at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa then process to Highland Cemetery for graveside services. Ron was born June 27, 1955 in Ottawa, Kansas, the son of Floyd and Frances (Cooley) Schmoe. He lived in Jones Creek, Texas for many years moving to Ottawa in March 2019. Ron graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1973. He was a 1977 graduate from Baker University earning his Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Survivors include his brother, David Schmoe and wife Karen of Eudora, KS; sister-in-law, Ginger Millbern of Ottawa; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Roger Millbern and Gary Millbern. Ron worked forty years as an office manager for a trucking company in Houston, Texas. He enjoyed gardening, reading and Kansas history, but most of all, loved spending time with his family.
