Ronald A. Khan, age 80, of Loch Lloyd, Missouri, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023, at Belton Regional Medical Center, Belton, Missouri.
Rosary will be prayed at 9:45 am, Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Queen of the Holy Rosary Wea Catholic Church, 22779 Metcalf Rd, Bucyrus, Kansas 66013. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, with funeral mass to follow at 11:00 am. Burial will be held after mass at Holy Rosary Cemetery, Bucyrus, Kansas, with military honors provided by the Louisburg VFW post 7348 and the American Legion post 250.
Ron was born on Sunday, February 21, 1943, in Alexandria, Virginia. He was the son of William and Thelma (Stewart) Khan. Ron graduated from Wyandotte High School with the class of 1962. After high school he attended college before being drafted into the United States Army. He proudly served his country for two years and was stationed in Germany.
After his time in the service, he married Patricia Summa on Saturday, November 26, 1966, at Coronation Catholic Church in Grandview, Missouri. Together they had one daughter, Amy.
Ron worked in the maintenance department for TWA for many years, before retiring in 2000.
He loved to tinker and could fix almost anything. If something was broken, everyone knew to call Ron for help. He was always ready and willing to lend a hand to someone in need. Ron never met a stranger.
He loved his family dearly, and was described as selfless, generous, kind, compassionate and forgiving. Ron had a special relationship with his only granddaughter, Joslyn. She lovingly referred to him as Bop. Ron had many great adventures with his granddaughter and his family.
Ron is preceded in death by his parents, William and Thelma Khan, and two brothers, William Khan Jr. and Kenneth Khan.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Patricia Khan, of the home, daughter, Amy Springer, of Overland Park, Kansas, granddaughter, Joslyn Springer, and sister-in-law’s, Patricia Khan and Vicki Khan.
Husband, Dad and Bop will be dearly missed and loved forever.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made payable to Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church or Veterans Community Project, c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, P.O. Box 669, Louisburg, Kansas 66053.
