Ronald (RJ) J Vohs, 77, of Bucyrus, KS passed away on November 5, 2017. Ronald was born on June 18, 1940 in Wea, KS, to Leonard and Mary Margaret Knecht Vohs. Ron was raised on the family farm, where he loved and enjoyed farming until he went to work for AT&T Longlines in January of 1960 where he retired from in October 1990. He was united in marriage to Carolyn A. Neal on July 8, 1961. During this time he was a long life member of Queen of Holy Rosary Church, member of the Communication Workers of America and was also a member of the Carriage travel club. He and his wife loved to spend their free time traveling from state to state during the winter months including southern Florida, Arizona, and Texas. When he wasn’t spending his time on the road with his wife, he was traveling with his grandkids watching them show cattle throughout the years. He was preceded in death by his parents; Mary Margaret Knecht and Leonard Anthony Vohs; step father, Jim Wheeler, brother, Leon Eugene Vohs. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Vohs and son, Christopher J and Pam Vohs of Bucyrus, daughter, Tammy and Token Dickerson of Louisburg, son, Mike Vohs of Bucyrus, Son, Neal and Carrie Vohs of Paola. Grandchildren Brian, Trish, Christopher, Blair, Cade, Chance, Kirstin. Great-Grandchildren Beau, Brayden and Garrett, siblings, Kay and Art Henry, twin Brother, Donald and Laura Vohs, Brother, Steven and Bibianna Vohs, Brother, Gary Vohs, Sister, Ranay Brady and many nieces and nephews. Ron’s life was filled with everlasting memories traveling with his wife and spending countless hours at the family farm with his family and friends. Visitation will be 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2017, followed by Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church Wea, Bucyrus, KS. Burial will be in the Bucyrus Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Queen of Holy Rosary Church Men’s Club.
