To leave family condolences go to Penwell-Gabel.com. Ron was born on June 8, 1950 in Ottawa Kansas to Robert and Mary Mersman Heckman. He grew up in Paola and graduated from PHS in 1968. Ron was employed at Gordmans in Lenexa, and previously was an over the road truck driver for numerous companies through out the Midwest. Surviving is his father Robert Heckman and his wife Shirley of Norfolk Nebraska, son Robert Norton of Paola, daughter, Kelly Talcot of Paola, daughter, Terri Vaught of Wichita, brother, Gerald Heckman of Colorado Springs, Colorado, sister, Linda Tepesch of Bonner Springs, Kansas, and 3 grandchildren.
