Ronald Barenklau

Ronald Lee Barenklau, age 74, passed away July 6, 2014 at Evergreen Community of Johnson County. Ronald was born April 26, 1940 to William and Lillian Aker Barenklau in Montrose, South Dakota. He was united in marriage to Diane Rhoades on June 26, 1959 at Hillsdale Methodist Church. He was employed at Delco Battery in Olathe, Kansas for over 30 years. Ronald enjoyed spending time with his family and fishing. He was a member of several organizations including the Hillsdale, KS Ruritans and Paola Eagles. He was also a member of the UAW for 30 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gerald Barenklau and daughter, Debra Oliver. He is survived by Diane Retherford; daughter, Penny Barenklau; brother, Earl Barenklau (Joan); grandchildren, Shelby Cook, Abby Cook, Ronald Cook, Emmit Cook, Brad Oliver, and Brent Oliver; great grandchildren, Ryker Oliver, Kylie Oliver, and Kyle Oliver; and many nieces and nephews.
