Ronald Allan Kolojaco

It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Ronald Allan Kolojaco, aged 61, of Ottawa, Kansas. Ron peacefully departed from this world in the comfort of his home, with his beloved best friend by his side. Ron was born to Thomas and Gloria (Scaggs) Kolojaco in Kansas City Missouri. Ron attended school in Piper and graduated in 1981. His passion for lawn care service and maintenance led him on a journey where he meticulously tended to every detail, taking immense pride in his work.

Over the course of his career, Ron shared his expertise at various esteemed companies, starting at Victory Hills before moving on to Suburban Lawn and Garden. Here, he nurtured lifelong friendships that guided him to Midwest Estates and, ultimately, to Osage Golf Course, where he flourished as the Greens Superintendent. Ron’s dedication and ardor for his craft will forever be honored and revered by many.

A man of simplicity and humility, Ron found joy in life’s simplest pleasures. He cherished pheasant hunting excursions, shared fishing tales, relaxing camping trips, cheering on the Chiefs, and savoring a cold beer, all while relishing in the peacefulness of existence. For twenty-seven years, Ron was blessed to share his life with the love of his life, Bonita Evans. Though their journey did not include children, they opened their hearts and home to countless beloved “kiddos” who became an integral part of their lives.

Ron’s infectious laughter and warm spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. He found solace in the company of loved ones, enjoying the simple pleasures of life and with a cold beverage in hand and his loyal best friend by his side. Ron shared a special bond with his cherished bird dogs and their pampered little Chihuahuas, who always made sure that visitors knew their place.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Gloria.

Survivors include the love of his life Bonita Evans of the home; two sisters Beth Mitchell of Olathe, Kansas and Penny Kolojaco of Basehor, Kansas; two brothers Tom Kolojaco of Kansas City, Kansas and John Kolojaco (Donna) of Oskaloosa, Kansas.

The memory of Ronald Allan Kolojaco will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of crossing paths with him.

We invite you to join us in celebrating Ron’s life on Monday, October 14, 2024, at 2:30pm, with visitation beginning one hour prior to service at Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa. Following the service, Ron will be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery.
