Rollo Franklin Knight, age 100 of Pomona, Kansas died Sunday, December 30, 2012. He was born on Monday, January 22, 1912, in Ottawa, Kansas, the son of Bertie Almerson and Edith Maye (Harvey) Knight. Rollo was a lifelong Osage/Franklin county resident living in the Pomona area for the last 50 years. He graduated from Quenemo High School with the class of 1932. On April 4, 1936 Rollo was united in marriage to Audra Louise Hughes in Ottawa, Kansas. She preceded him in death on December 17, 1988. He then married Reta Redman (Bourne) on December 30, 1989 in Ottawa, Kansas. She survives of the home. He is survived by his: Wife – Reta Knight of Ottawa, Kansas; Adopted family – Landon and Brenda Fletcher and children Leslie and Stacey of Cassville, Missouri and Several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by by his: 1st wife – Audra Hughes, Parents – Bertie & Edith Knight, Sister – Laura Turner and Brothers – Bill, Bud and Virgil Knight. Rollo worked for Santa Fe Railroad for 20 years and Safeway for 20 years as a Produce Manager retiring in 1977. He was a member of the Ottawa First Christian Church; life member of the McKinley Lodge #41, A.F. & A.M. Pomona; Eastern Star Pomona; Lyons Club Pomona; and Wifani Sunday School Class. SERVICES: Funeral Services will be held at Dengel & Son Mortuary, 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 3, 2013. IN STATE: Friends may pay their respects to Mr. Knight at Dengel & Son Mortuary after 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, to the service hour where the family will meet with friends one hour prior to service. CEMETERY: Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Pomona, Kansas MEMORIALS: The family suggests memorial contributions to First Christian Church c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa, Kansas 66067.
