Roger J. McClintic age 85 of Paola passed away at Ransom Memorial Hospital in Ottawa Wed. March 17, 2010. (Cremation) Private family gathering at a later date. Memorials to Miami County Cancer Foundation 210 N. Hospital Dr. Paola Kansas 66071 Roger was born on May 13, 1924 in Rantoul Kansas to William and Esther Fern Rodgers McClintic. He graduated from Fontana High School and enlisted in the United States Army Air Force and was honorably discharged on Jan. 17, 1947. Roger was united in marriage to Louise Wiswell on Jan. 12, 1946 in Lawrence Kansas. Roger was employed with the Kansas City Power and Light for 36 years as a storekeeper before retiring in 1986. His hobbies were golf, loved reading Westerns, enjoyed fishing, playing cards, traveling with family, dancing at the Legion Hall, watching soap operas, and eating out with family and friends, and in his early years enjoyed racing cars. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents, and one brother Bill McClintic. Survivors are his wife Louise of the home, son Rick McClintic of Burlington, KS. dau., Chris Bishop of Lawrence, KS., one brother Jerry McClintic of Columbus Nebraska, and three grandchildren, Derek Almendarez, Justin McClintic and Jayden McClintic
