Rodney Gene Simmons

He was a lifelong Centropolis, Kansas resident. Rod attended Appanoose Grade School and graduated from Pomona High School with the class of 1978. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing with his son. Rod was highly skilled in many different areas and never found a problem he couldn`t master. He worked in various occupations until the time of his disability in 2004. SERVICES: Private family services will be held. IN STATE: Friends may pay their respects to Mr. Simmons at the Dengel & Son Mortuary from 5 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday and 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday. CEMETERY: Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Centropolis, Kansas. MEMORIALS: The family suggests memorials to Jason Simmons Education Fund, c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa, Kansas 66067.
