Roberta Moore, age 91 of Ottawa, Kansas, died Thursday, January 31, 2013, at Vintage Park in Ottawa. She was born on Friday, April 15, 1921, the daughter of Robert Steven and Nora Elizabeth (McKinney) Richards. Roberta lived in Ottawa since 2006 moving from Hutchinson, Kansas where she lived most of her life, also living in Baxter Springs, Kansas. She graduated from Baxter Springs High School with the class of 1939. On April 18, 1949 Roberta was united in marriage with Edward Hughes Moore in Hutchinson, Kansas. He preceded her in death on September 29, 2001. She is survived by her Daughter – Yvonne Geurian and husband Robert of Hutchinson, Kansas; Daughter – Charlene Hunley of Columbus, Kansas; Daughter – Melissa Fairbanks and husband Robert of Pomona, Kansas; Five grandchildren – John Geurian and wife Kaylene of Hutchinson, Kansas, Lonnie Geurian and wife Vergi of Hutchinson, Kansas, Mike Hunley and wife Janet of Columbus, Kansas, Steve Harper and wife Tara of Gladstone, Missouri and Sean Harper and fiancé Brandis of Hutchinson, Kansas and Seven Great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her Husband – Edward Moore; Son-in-law – Ray Hunley; Parents – Robert and Nora Richards; Three Brothers and Three Sisters. Roberta worked as an independent insurance agent for thirty-nine years with Wade Patton Insurance in Hutchinson, Kansas retiring in 1986. SERVICES: Family and friends will meet for a celebration of Roberta’s life at Vintage Park Assisted Living Center of Ottawa, 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 2, 2013.
