Roberta J. Adcock was born January 24, 1943, at Rantoul, Kansas. She was the daughter of Robert H. and Betty J. (Hulcy) Hubbard. A lifelong Franklin County resident, she made her home in Ottawa, Kansas, until her death Saturday, March 9, 2002, at the age of fifty-nine years. She graduated from Rantoul High School with the class of 1961. Roberta was a lifelong homemaker. She was a lifetime member of Royal Neighbors of America. She enjoyed attending church and the various church activities and women's retreats. She had fun going to auctions, flea markets, and yard sales, as well as watching her favorite T.V. shows, 'Touched by an Angel' and 'Price is Right'. Roberta's greatest enjoyment came from her family and grandchildren, taking the children to the park and watching their sporting events. On August 19, 1962, Roberta was united in marriage with Raymond L. Adcock at Rantoul, Kansas. He survives of their home. Also, surviving are her mother and stepfather, Betty J. and Don Meyer of Richter; son, Robby Adcock of Ottawa; daughter, Vicky Homer of Pomona; three sisters, Helen Hood of Ottawa, Juanita Simms of Rantoul, Ramona Ball of Ottawa; brother, William 'Dusty' Hubbard of Ottawa; and, two grandsons, Storm Mattas and Oaklee Homer. She is preceded in death by her father; brother, Sonny Hubbard; sister, Rosella Cox; and, grandson, Stetson Cole. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from Dengel & Son Mortuary 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2002. OFFICIANT: Rev. Clyde Greisen. IN STATE: Mrs. Adcock will lie in state after 10:00 a.m. Monday at Dengel & Son Mortuary to service hour, where the family will meet with friends 7:30 to 8:30 Monday evening.
