Robert Ray Marez

Robert Ray Marez , age 78, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 in Olathe, Kansas. He was born November 9, 1945 in Lamar, Colorado, the son of Johnny and Ursula (Adame) Marez.

He grew up in Lamar, Colorado and moving to Ottawa, Kansas in the late 1960"s. On March 15, 1971, Robert was united in marriage with Mary E Franks. He served in the United States Army.

Preceded in death by his wife Mary Marez, parents Johnny and Ursula (Adame) Marez, brothers Johnny (Junior) Marez, James (Jimmy) Marez, his sister Julia Marez, nephews Danny Tulloch, Norman Haney and great nephew Daniel Marez.

He is survived by his sister Terry (Steven) Haney of Lamar, Colorado, brothers Manuel (Judy) Marez of Pueblo, Colorado, Eddie (Jean) Marez of Lamar, Colorado, Norma Marez, of Lamar, Colorado, a great friend Diane Luttrell of Spring Hill, Kansas, numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, host of family members and friends.

Cremation is planned and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
