Robert Orrin Gregory Sr.

Robert "Bob" Orrin Gregory Sr., 86, passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Overland Park Regional Medical Center. Bob was born January 8, 1931 to Leonard L. and Ethel (Wilhite) Gregory. He was the middle of ten children and grew up in Kansas City, MO. He served in the United States Marine Corp, completing boot camp in 1948. Bob was united in marriage to Colleen M. Rockers in Kansas City, MO on March 1, 1951. They lived the majority of their married life in Paola, KS. He enjoyed several occupations, but spent many years at the Paola Police Department, rising in rank from patrolman to Chief, and as a commercial painter at Kansas State University. Bob enjoyed fishing, painting murals and pictures, wood carving, and baking for his family. Bob was preceded in death by his mother, father, four brothers, five sisters, and one great-granddaughter. He is survived by his wife Colleen (Rockers) Gregory; and children Sandra (J.C.) Jentzsch, Carol (Harvey) Brocker, Robert II (Sheri) Gregory, Dorothy (Donald) Powell, and William (Kathleen) Gregory, 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
