Robert Lee Manheim

Robert Lee Manheim was born on Monday, June 24, 1957, in Denver, Colorado. He was the son of Charles F. and Phyllis (Walker) Manheim. Robert lived in Denver most of his life, before moving to Kansas. He lived in DeSoto two years, moving to Ottawa, in Franklin County, Kansas, in 1995, where he made his home, until his death on Saturday, November 19, 2005, at the age of forty-eight years. He attended Aurora Central High School, in Aurora, Colorado. The last three years, Robert has been employed in the fabrication department of Ottawa Truck. He was a member of the Franklin County Independent Biker's and former member of the Moose Lodge in Denver. Robert was an outgoing person who enjoyed visiting with his many friends, and was always ready with a helping hand. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, and, especially, riding motorcycles. He also liked to dance and play football. However, to Robert, his family was most important, and he loved their family gatherings. On June 22, 1984, Robert was united in marriage with Diana L. Rose in Littleton, Colorado. She survives of their home. He is also survived by his mother of Denver, Colorado; three sons, Justin Manheim, Jeremy Manheim, Robert C. Manheim, all of Ottawa; sister, Pam Henderson of Commerce City, Colorado; six brothers, Richard Manheim, Louis Manheim, David Manheim, Gary D. Manheim, John Manheim, all of Denver, Colorado, Eddie Manheim of Douglas, Kansas; and, father and mother-in-law, Marvin and Kay Rose of Denver, Colorado. Mr. Manheim was preceded in death by his father and brother, Tommy Jo Manheim. SERVICES: Memorial services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 23, 2005. IN STATE: Mr. Manheim has been cremated. Family will meet with friends at the Dengel & Son Mortuary 7:00 to 8:00 Tuesday evening. MEMORIALS: The family suggests memorials to Franklin County Independent Biker`s Toys for Kids, c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa, Kansas 66067.
