Robert L. “Bob” Roush, 83, of Princeton, Kansas passed away Friday, December 20, 2013 at Richmond Healthcare & Rehabilitation. Funeral services will be held at Dengel & Son Mortuary, 10:00 A.M. Friday, December 27, 2013. Friends may pay their respects to Mr. Roush at the mortuary after 1:00 P.M. Thursday, to the service hour where the family will meet with friends from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. Thursday. Interment Princeton Cemetery, Princeton, Kansas. Bob was born on Sunday, March 9, 1930 in Ottawa, Kansas, the son of Louis and Anna (Spencer) Roush. He was a lifelong Princeton, Kansas resident, living on the family farm. He graduated from Princeton High School with the class of 1948. On December 19, 1954 Bob was united in marriage with Thelma Humerickhouse in Ottawa, Kansas. She survives of their home. Survivors also include his three children, Ed Roush and wife Patty of Paola, Jim Roush and wife Lori of Princeton, and Kara West and husband Oscar of Wellsville; grandchildren, Karissa Hallman, Bethany, Seth, Emily, and Faith Roush, Dunreath, Dwight and Katelyn West; great grandchildren, Haylie, Reagan and Bevin Hallman and Blake Roush. Bob was preceded in death by his daughter, Cynthia Ann Roush; parents; brother, Bruce Roush; and grand-son-in-law, Joe Hallman. A hard working farmer and stockman for many years, Bob was also employed with General Motors/Delco-Remy Division in Olathe, Kansas for 28 years, retiring in 1991. Bob served in the United States Army from 1955 to 1957. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and accepted Christ as his Lord in June 1973. He was also a member of the United Auto Workers Local 1021, Olathe, Kansas.
