Robert Dale "Bob" Kunard

Robert Dale “Bob” Kunard, age 64, of Ottawa, Kansas, died Thursday, August 23, 2012. He was born on Monday, July 12, 1948, in Ottawa, the son of Elmo Francis and Lucille (Hazen) Kunard. Bob was a lifelong resident of Ottawa. Bob graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1967. Bob served in the United States Air Force as a Munitions Specialist from 1968 to 1972; Air National Guard as a Munitions Technician from 1972 to 1974 and as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician from 1974 to 1977 where he received commendation for excellent performance. Following his military career Bob worked for King Radio as a Maintenance Technician from August 1977 to March 1982; H.D. Lee Company as a General Laborer from April 1982 to November 1986; J.B. Interstate Truck Stop as a Assistant Manager from March 1987 to June 1989 and Mid America Aerospace Company as a Machinist/Metal Shaver from November 1989, until retiring in July of 1993. He was a member of the Power of The Past. He is survived by his: Mother-Lucille Kunard of Ottawa, Kansas Son-Jeffery Kunard and his wife, Tracy, of Garretson, South Dakota Grandchildren-Christian,Ariana, Devan, Kailei Kunard Son-William Kunard and his Fiancée, Amanda Malone, of Ottawa, Kansas Grandchildren-Gaberiel, Lillian, Brooklynne, Hagen Kunard Daughter-Shanda Kunard of Inwood, Iowa Granddaughter- Teagen Ebright Brother-David Kunard of Guam Sister-Janet Donavan of Abilene, Kansas He is preceded in death by his: Father-Elmo Kunard SERVICES: Funeral Services will be held at Dengel & Son Mortuary at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 30, 2012. IN STATE: Mr. Kunard will lie in state at the Dengel & Son Mortuary after 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday to the service hour, where family will meet with friends from 6:00 to 8:00 Wednesday evening.
