Robert Brandt Jr.

Robert L. Brandt, Jr., age 59, of Paola, Kansas, died unexpectedly July 23, 2017 at Menorah Medical Center. Robert was born June 22, 1958 at Paola, Kansas. He was the oldest of four children born to Robert, Sr. and Adelaide (McCoy) Brandt. He grew up in Paola and attended Paola schools. He was united in marriage to Delores "Dee" Timm on November 17, 1979 at Paola, Kansas. They made their home in Paola and became the parents of two children, Robert III "Robbie" and Dena. Robert worked as a mechanic for Ray's Lawn and Garden 26 years and retired March of 2016. Prior to Ray's Lawn and Garden, he had also worked for Reno Construction, Tobin Construction, and Walters Foundation. Robert was a true outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, and tinkering in his garages. Family time was especially important to Robert and he truly cherished the time spent with his family and friends. His grandchildren were his number one favorite pastime. He enjoyed his neighbors and helped them out wherever he could. He was preceded in death by his father Robert, Sr., his sister Christy Brandt, and his brother Rollin Brandt. He is survived by his wife Delores "Dee" of the home; his son Robert III and his wife Amy of Overland Park; his daughter Dena and her husband Jamey "Pete" Kaiser of Paola; two grandchildren Bailey and Gavin Kaiser; his mother Adelaide Masenthin (Bob) of Paola; brother Richard Brandt of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
