Robert "Bob" Dixon Dancosse

Robert Dixon “Bob” Dancosse, age 59, of Ottawa, Kansas, died Saturday, August 13, 2011, at his residence. He was born in 1951 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Francis J. and Faye D. Dancosse. Bob lived in Nebraska City, Nebraska, and Clinton, Missouri, prior to moving to Ottawa in 2000. He graduated from Nebraska City High School and attended Wesleyan University. He worked from 1977 through 2008, where he finished his career as a network engineer with Embarq of Gardner, Kansas, after 31 years of service. He also was employed as a lineman by Lincoln Telephone Company of Nebraska City, Nebraska; Colaska Production Company of Clinton, Missouri; United Telephone Company of Clinton, Missouri; and Sprint/United Telephone Company of Clinton, Missouri. Bob loved spending time with family and friends, fishing, riding his motorcycle and life. Bob was a born entertainer. He loved making others happy, never thinking about himself and always putting others first. In 1974, Robert was united in marriage with Cindy J. Crunk in Nebraska City, Nebraska. She survives of their home. Bob is survived by his wife- Cindy J. Dancosse of the home Father-Francis Dancosse of Overland Park, Kansas Son-Robert Dixon Dancosse II of Ottawa, Kansas Daughter-Elysha Briggs and her husband, Skip, of Bluffton, South Carolina Sister-Donna Hoskins and her husband, Ray, of Kirbyville, Missouri Brother-Dann Dancosse and his wife, Joyce, of Mt. Hope, Kansas Granddaughter-Adreanna Feitz of Bluffton, South Carolina Grandson-Aiden Dancosse of Ottawa, Kansas He is preceded in death by his Mother-Faye Dancosse-Musselman Stepmother-Rita Dancosse Niece-Ashley Hoskins Nephew & Niece-Gunner and Sierra Snyder SERVICES: Memorial Services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 19, 2011.
