Robert “Bob” C. Lorenz, age 74 of Richmond, Kansas, died Saturday, April 6, 2013, at Richmond Healthcare Center in Richmond, Kansas. He was born on Friday, February 3, 1939 in Anderson, Indiana the son of Harry and Bessie (Mouzey) Lorenz. He has been a resident of Pomona since 2011, moving from Paris, Tennessee. He also resided in Paducah, Kentucky; Lakeland, Florida; Stone Mountain, Georgia; and Portland, Oregon. Robert graduated from St. Mary’s High School, Aurora, Illinois. He worked as a truck driver for Henson Trucking in Princeton and Penny’s Concrete in Ottawa for many years, retiring in 2003. In his early years he was a self-employed carpenter. Robert was a member of the Moose Lodge in Paducah, Kentucky and California for over forty years and the Aerie Lodge #2700, Fraternal Order of Eagles Ottawa. He is survived by his: Daughter-Lisa Smith of Paducah, Kentucky Daughter-Roberta “Bobby” Mallory of Pomona, Kansas Daughter-Cynthea “Cindi” VanValkenburg of Osage City, Kansas Son- Henry Smith of Metropolis, Illinois Daughter-Rose Smith of Miles City, Montana Grandchildren-Fourteen Gt.Grandchildren-Nine He is preceded in death by his: Parents-Harry and Bessie Lorenz SERVICES: Funeral services will be held at Dengel & Son Mortuary, 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 10, 2013. IN STATE: Friends may pay their respects to Mr. Lorenz at Dengel & Son Mortuary after 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, to the service hour where the family will meet with friends from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday. CEMETERY: Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Pomona, Kansas.
