Robert Allen Van Wie

Robert Allen Van Wie, age 35, of West Palm Beach, Florida, formerly of Rantoul, Kansas, died Tuesday, December 14, 2010, at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. He was born on Monday, October 20, 1975, in Ottawa, Kansas, the son of Charles C. and Alice Louise (Evans) Van Wie. Robert grew up in Rantoul, Kansas, moving to Waynesboro, Virginia in 1995, and West Palm Beach, Florida, in 2005. Robert graduated from Central Heights High School with the class of 1995. He was a Field Engineer for IMT (International Mapping Technologies) in Virginia for sixteen years. Robert was united in marriage with Heather Cressionie in 1997. They were later divorced. On Wednesday, August 6, 2008, Robert was united in marriage with Giovanna Boggio in Florida. She survives of their home. He is survived by his: Wife-Giovanna (Boggio) Van Wie of their home in West Palm Beach, Florida; Son-Jaydyn Van Wie of Waynesboro, Virginia; Parents-Charles C. and Alice Louise (Evans) Van Wie of Rantoul, Kansas; Brother-Earl Van Wie and his wife, Luz, of Lemoore, California; Sister-Lorena Taylor and her husband, Jack, of Olathe, Kansas and Several Nieces & Nephews. He is preceded in death by his: Paternal Grandparents-Ernest and Vera Van Wie; Maternal Grandparents-Rufus and Marcelene Evans; One Uncle; Two Aunts and one Nephew. SERVICES: Family will meet with friends at Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 18, 2010. IN STATE: Cremation is planned.
