Rickie Gene Criss

Rickie Gene Criss, age 59, of Louisburg, Kansas, died Monday, September 1, 2008 at St. Joseph Hospital, Kansas City, Mo. He was born October 22, 1948 at Paola, Kansas, the son of Wayne and Dorothy (Wilson) Criss. Rickie served in the Navy during the Vietnam War and continued service for 25 years retiring in 1994. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and VFW, a member of the 40 and 8 and Tin Can Sailors. After retiring he worked at Blair"s Bus Service, Price Chopper and Wal-Mart. In his spare time he enjoyed following the NASCAR circuit. Rickie graduated from Louisburg High School with the class of 1966. He was preceded in death by his parents and a niece, Samantha Criss. Survivors include 1 daughter, Jennifer Edie, Canyon Country, Ca.; life partner, Kay Ranking, Louisburg, Ks.; 2 brothers, Gary Criss, Louisburg, Ks. and Dale Criss, Harrisonville, Mo.; 1 sister, Terry Crawford, Paola, Ks.; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
