Rick R. Bulmer

Ricky R. Bulmer, 62, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at Midland Care Hospice House in Topeka, Kansas. Cremation is planned with a memorial service at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 26, 2015 at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Family will meet with friends one hour prior to services. Inurnment will immediately follow at Highland Cemetery, Ottawa. Rick was born Saturday, December 6, 1952 in Ottawa, the son of Robert Bulmer and Donna (Huston) Tenk. He was a lifelong Ottawa resident. Rick graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1970. He began his career, as a car salesman, at Dan Hope Chrysler until completing his career as a structural foreman with Fashion, Inc. for the past five years. Rick was united in marriage with Bonnie G. Funk June 29, 1973, in Ottawa. She survives of their home. Other survivors include his two sons, Ricky Bulmer and wife Taran of Olathe, and Sean “Ben” Bulmer and fiancé Brenna Murphy of Manhattan; mother, Donna Tenk of Ottawa; siblings, Greg Bulmer and wife Amy and Chanda Birckhead all of Ottawa; grandson, Boston Bulmer; and granddaughter, Layla Bulmer.
