Richard L. Rich Toland, age 54, of Ottawa, Kansas, died Tuesday, February 15, 2011, at Ransom Memorial Hospital in Ottawa. He was born on Thursday, July 5, 1956, in Kingman, Kansas, the son of Gayford and Virginia (Potter) Toland. He grew up in Hutchinson, Kansas, moving to Salina, Kansas in 1976 and Ottawa in 2002. Rich graduated from Hutchinson High School with the class of 1974. He attended Hutchinson Junior College. He was employed as a group lead in the receiving department of American Eagle in Ottawa for six years. He was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Ottawa, where he served as a Lay Leader and was active in Men’s Fellowship. On Friday, July 1, 1983, Rich was united in marriage with Treasa S. Graybeal at Oakdale Park in Salina, Kansas. She survives of their home. Survivors also include;Daughter,Deborah Bruner of Newburgh, Indiana; Son,Shaun Toland of Nashville, Tennessee; Daughter,Janeece Bass of Ottawa, Kansas; Son,Dustyn Toland of Ottawa, Kansas; Brother,Dean Toland of Wichita, Kansas; Sister,Debbie Toland of Nashville, Tennessee; Aunt,Evelyn Folger of Houston, Texas; Grandchildren (3),Kayla Bruner, Dane Bruner, Kyley Bass He is preceded in death by his parents, Gayford and Virginia (Potter) Toland. SERVICES: Memorial Services will be held from First Southern Baptist Church, 1419 Eisenhower, in Ottawa, at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 18, 2011. IN STATE: Cremation is planned.
