Richard L. Chrisman, age 76, of Paola, Kansas, died Monday, October 17, 2016 at Olathe Medical Center. Richard was born October 1, 1940, at Maywood, California. He was the son of Richard Carl and Norma Pauline (Brazel) Chrisman. He graduated from high school at Mountain Burg, Arkansas in 1957. He was united in marriage to Ruby Nelson on August 13, 1958 at Poteau, Oklahoma. They made their home in Fort Smith, Arkansas and became the parents of two children. In the early 1960"s they moved to Kansas City. Then they moved to Paola in 1975. Richard was a construction worker. He built many houses in several locations across Kansas including Paola, Carbondale, Spring Hill, and Wellsville. He enjoyed woodworking and fishing. He truly enjoyed the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a NASCAR fan, as well as Chiefs football and Royals baseball. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister. Richard is survived by his wife Ruby; his daughter Cindy Harris (Larry) of Paola; his son Rick Chrisman (Ann) of Paola; 6 grandchildren Angie Willard (Joe), Heath Harris (Megan), Jeremy Harris, Michelle Chrisman, Misty Stewart (Pat), Steven Chrisman (Miranda), and Ashley Dillenbeck (Bill); 3 great grandchildren Lane Stewart, Ivy Male, and Timber Harris; many other relatives and friends.
