Richard Eugene 'Bud' White, Jr. was born on Wednesday, June 10, 1931, in Ottawa, Kansas. He was the son of Richard, Sr., and Marguerite (Holbert) White. For short periods of time throughout his life, Bud lived in Minnesota, California, and Topeka, Kansas, before moving to Ottawa, in Franklin County, Kansas, where he made his home until his death on Sunday, January 7, 2007, at the age of seventy-five years. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post #5901 of Ottawa. Bud loved life and life loved Bud. He always found time to enjoy his life and make the others around him enjoy their lives. He loved to go fishing, and was always ready to take one of his nieces or nephews along with him. He played a lot of card games and you could always get him into a game of dominoes. He was a very skilled pool player, and was always willing to 'take your money' if you were daring enough to try and play him for money at pool. Bud loved to dance.
