Rensina Bellinger, 86, of Rantoul, Kansas, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2014, at Ransom Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at Dengel & Son Mortuary, 10:00 A.M., Monday, June 9, 2014. Officiated by Rev. Jeff Higbie and Rev. Jason Redick. Friends may pay their respects to Mrs. Bellinger, at the mortuary, from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Saturday, June 7th and 1:00 to 9:00 P.M., Sunday, June 8th, to the service hour where the family will meet with friends from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. Sunday. Interment Ruhamah Cemetery, Rantoul, Kansas. Rensina was born Monday, November 21, 1927, in Lime Creek, Minnesota, the daughter of Jacob and Gladys (VanderVeen) Schuur. She has lived in Rantoul since 1970, moving from Wellsville where she lived since the early 1960’s. She had previously lived in Maxwell, Indiana. Rensina was united in marriage with Freeman Bellinger in 1943. He preceded her in death on July 21, 1991. They shared forty-eight years of marriage and had ten children. Rensina was a devoted lifelong homemaker who loved, supported and cared for her family throughout her life. She is survived by her eight children, Jacob Bellinger and wife Carol of Rantoul, Sharon Brewer of Eudora, William Bellinger of Waverly, Lori Redick and husband Jerry of Lebanon, Missouri, Kenneth Bellinger and wife Blanka of Rantoul, Kathy Sobba and husband Ken of Rantoul, Patricia Higbie and husband Jeff of Jefferson City, Missouri, and Wanda Wood of Rantoul; thirty-four grandchildren; sixty-two great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; son, James Bellinger; infant son, Bobby Bellinger; and her parents. Many things were important in life to Rensina but among the greatest was her family. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed reading, babysitting, and her pet birds. She will be deeply missed and remain in the hearts and thoughts of her family and friends forever.
