Rebekah Nadine Davidson

Rebekah Nadine 'Becky' Davidson was born on Wednesday, December 6, 1972, in Tacoma, Washington. She was the daughter of Joseph 'Chuck' and Ruth (Salsberry) Cygan. She lived in Ottawa eight years and also Emporia, moving to Quenemo, Kansas four years ago, where she made her home until her death on Friday, April 27, 2007, at the age of thirty-four years. Becky graduated from Garnett High School with the class of 1991. She earned her nursing degree from Flint Hills Vocational Technical School of Emporia in 1993. She attended Ottawa Bible Church. She was a dedicated homemaker and an L.P.N., working at several locations, including Homecare in the late 1990's. Becky was a leader for LaLeche League, a mother to mother breast feeding support group. She was very devoted to her cause and so helpful to new mothers. Becky enjoyed all her homemaking skills and especially loved baking and decorating cakes. She enjoyed the outdoors and roasting hot dogs over campfires. Becky was so devoted to her family, loved caring for her husband and children and attending all their children's activities. On December 30, 1992, Becky was united in marriage with David Davidson in Ottawa, Kansas. He survives of their home. She is also survived by her daughter, Josie, of the home; two sons, David Kyle and Abraham Davidson, of the home; parents of Overland Park, Kansas; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Elizabeth Cygan of San Antonio, Texas, Chris and Amy Cygan of Spring Hill, Kansas; and father and mother-in-law, Don and Shirley Davidson of Quenemo, Kansas. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held at Ottawa Bible Church at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2007. IN STATE: Friends may pay their respects to Becky at the Dengel & Son Mortuary after 5:00 p.m. Tuesday to the service hour, where the family will meet with friends 7 to 8:00 Wednesday evening. CEMETERY: Mt. Hope Cemetery, Williamsburg, Kansas. MEMORIALS: The family suggests memorials to Davidson Children`s Education Fund, c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa, Kansas 66067.
