Raymond L. Thomas, age 75, of Louisburg, Ks. died Dec. 18, 2007 at Olathe Medical Center, Olathe, Ks. He was born August 29, 1932 at Louisburg, the son of Lorin Stanton and Rose Etta (Sheehan) Thomas. He lived in the Miami County area all his life. On September 5, 1953 he was united in marriage to Jacqueline Nelson. Ray worked at Panhandle Eastern and Pritchard Engineering before retiring. He was in the United States Army from 1949 thru 1969 serving in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, American Legion , board member of Rural Water District # 4 and was a Boy Scout Leader. He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law W.A. Nelson. Survivors include his wife Jacqueline, of the home; 2 daughters, Diana and husband Barry Hansen, Arlington, Tx.; Jana Ready, Dallas, Tx.; 1 son, Mark and wife Julie Thomas, Ottawa, Ks.; mother-in-law Annetta Nelson, Louisburg, Ks.; 4 grandchildren, Katrina Hansen, John Ready, Paul and Hannah Thomas; 2 brothers, Philip and wife Helen Thomas, Topeka, Ks.; Jim & wife Rita Thomas, Hermann, Mo.; and 1 sister, Rosanne and husband Roland Simon, Charlottesville, Va.
