Raymond R. Moore

April 30, 1944 — February 25, 2015

Raymond Ralph Moore, age 70, Louisburg, Kansas lost his courageous battle with cancer on February 25, 2015. He was born April 30, 1944 at home at the family dairy farm in Longton, Kansas, the third child of Emory Butler Moore and Margery Smallwood Moore. He attended the Longton schools, graduating from Longton High School in 1962. Raymond was a member of Operating Engineers Local 101 for over fifty years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and York Rite. He served in the Army National guard for six years with an honorable discharge in 1970. He was passionate about his golf game. Raymond and Sue Ann Loftin were married in 1966 in Sedan, Kansas. Their children are Douglas and Lynne Moore and Dana and Jim Foote, and their grandchildren are Nathan, Natalie, Ashley, James, Megan and Michael, all of Louisburg. LOVE YOU MORE. Among his other survivors are his sister, Beverly and Bob Crowell of Oswego, and his brother, Randy and Mary Ann Moore of Longton, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Carl Moore and niece Emily Simmons. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Hospice of Olathe Medical Center.
