Raymond L. Kinsley, age 78, of Baldwin City, Kan., died Tuesday, July 16, 2002, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Lawrence, Kan. He has lived in the Centropolis Community for the past forty years, moving from Douglas County, Kansas. He was a self-employed residential contractor for thirty-five years, retiring in 1980. Mr. Kinsley was a lifelong member of Eight Mile Old German Baptist Brethren Church. On February 18, 1945, Raymond was united in marriage with Erma June Barton at Pomona, Kansas. She preceded him in death on April 7, 2002. He is survived by his three daughters, Karen Beery of Rossville, Ind. Janice Edgecomb of Ottawa, Kan. Kathi Denlinger of Ottawa, Kan. One Son, Dean Kinsley of New Carlisle, Ohio Fifteen grandchildren and Eleven great-grandchildren. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from Eight Mile Old German Baptist Brethren Church, west of Centropolis, 9:00 a.m. Saturday, July 20, 2002. IN STATE: Mr. Kinsley will lie in state at the Dengel & Son Mortuary from 1:00 p.m. Friday to service hour, where the family will meet with friends 6 to 7:30 Friday evening. CEMETERY: Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
