Raymond L. Baughman

Raymond L. Baughman, age 101, of Paola, Kansas passed away February 8, 2018 at North Point Skilled Nursing. He was born on June 21, 1916 in Ottawa, Kansas to Frank L. and Grace Tyler Baughman. He grew up in the Franklin and Miami County area all his life. Raymond was united in marriage to Faye L. Cardwell on May 25, 1940 in Garnett, Kansas. He was the manager of the Mode O’ Day Clothing Manufacturing in Ottawa and Osawatomie for 33 years before retiring. He enjoyed golfing, antiquing, and spending time with family and friends. Raymond enjoyed traveling with his wife of 62 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sister Marilyn Baughman Cardwell, grandson Kurt Carpenter, great grandson Dalton Prager, and son-in-law Larry Prager. Survivors are his son Joe Baughman (Merilee) of Paola; daughters Judy Prager of Augusta Missouri, and Vicki Carpenter (Don) of Manchester, Missouri; 6 Grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials are to Good Shepherd Hospice or North Point Skilled Nursing in care of Dengel and Son Mortuary, 305 N. Pearl St., Paola, Kansas 66071.
