Raymond Bingham

Raymond Bingham, age 86, of Ottawa, Kansas, died Friday, March 2, 2012, at Midland Hospice House in Topeka, Kansas. He was born on Sunday, June 28, 1925, in Lebanon, Tennessee, the son of Richard and Mary (Adams) Bingham. He lived in Ottawa since 1995, moving here from Mesa, Arizona. He was a lifelong welder, working at General Motors/Aircraft and D-Velco Manufacturing in Mesa, Arizona, retiring in 1987. He served in the United States Navy as a Seaman 1st Class during World War II, from 1942 to 1946, in the European Theater. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Ottawa. On Monday, May 1, 1995, Raymond was united in marriage with Rose Marie (Bones) Mace in Mesa, Arizona. She survives of their home. He was previously married to Florence Bidwell on October 13, 1962, in Sylvania, Ohio. She preceded him in death in November of 1993. He isurvived by his: Wife – Rose Marie Bingham of the home; Son – David Ray Bingham and his wife, Sherrie, of Maricopa, Arizona; Daughter – Priscilla Bingham and companion, Alex Reyes, of Mesa, Arizona; Niece – Evelyn Massey of Nashville, Tennessee; Niece - Elizabeth Bishop and her husband, Bob, of Columbia, Tennessee; Niece - Anita Box of Hendersonville, Tennessee; Niece - Betty (Mayes) Smart of Nashville, Tennessee; Niece - Shirley Kelley and her husband, Dale, of Mesa, Arizona; Nephew – Bubba Bingham of Nashville, Tennessee; Grandchild – Julia Bingham; Grandchild - Heather Whitworth; Grandchild - C. J. Reyes; Grandchild - Jacob Reyes; Grandchild - Matthew Reyes; Grandchild - David Reyes (3) Gt.Grandchildren – Tiffany Bingham; Ethan Bingham; Ella Grace Whitworth. He is preceded in death by his: Parents – Richard and Mary Bingham; First Wife – Florence Bidwell; Sister – Mattie Downs; Sister – Lucille Mayes; Brother – Rufus Bingham; Brother – Ernest Bingham; Brother – Horace Bingham; Brother – Eugene Bingham; Brother – Douglas Bingham and Brother – Robert Bingham. SERVICES: Graveside Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at Princeton Cemetery in Princeton, Kansas. IN STATE: Mr. Bingham will lie in state at the Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday to the service hour, where the family will meet with friends from 1:00 to 2:00 Wednesday afternoon and process to Princeton Cemetery for 2:30 graveside services. CEMETERY: Princeton Cemetery in Princeton, Kansas. MEMORIALS: The family suggests memorial contributions to Midland Hospice or First Baptist Church, c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S.
